Exhibitor Application Information

Our move to the Queen Victoria Market in 2017 was an incredible success and most exhibitors sold out of ready-to-eat food, fresh truffles and truffle product on both days. 82,500 people visited the Market that weekend. 2021 promises to be an even greater success.

Applications to exhibit on our free weekend on 19 & 20 June 2018 are are now open. We review applications in the order they're received, and then confirm your participation asap. To confirm your application, you need to respond to all of the online required fields .

The sooner you apply and are accepted, the earlier your business will benefit from the promotion of the Festival.


Stall Dimensions

Standard stall size is 3 x 3 metres and Ready-to-Eat exhibitors also have the option of applying for a 6 x 3 metre stall. Applications from food trucks and smaller self-contained carts will also be considered.

Please note that no part of your stall can protrude from your allocated space- this includes cooking equipment such as a pizza oven or fryer, and furniture like trestle tables for service etc.

If you require more than 6 x 3 metres please contact us to discuss the options available and costs.


What is provided with a stall?

Power: QVM has limited power available and to operate safely all electrical equipment needs to be tagged and tested by a suitably qualified electrician before being used on-site. QVM staff will check and monitor this throughout the weekend.

Furnishings: all stalls are provided with 2 x chairs and 1 x trestle table

Merchandising: Truffle Melbourne will provide marquee signage and all stallholders are encouraged to maintain a high level of presentation whilst remaining true to their own brand. Photos of any previous market outings can be included in your application.

Although the Festival occurs during the day, it’s advisable to use some lighting In order to showcase your stall and products.


Ready-to-Eat Exhibitors only

For everyone’s safety, all traders should be aware of and ensure they are up to date and compliant with the relevant standards of all gas appliances set by Energy Safe Victoria. For further details and free advice you can contact Energy Safe Victoria or call 1800 652 563.

Make sure you tell us if require cool room space during your application. This
 will allow us to plan and allocate adequate space in the portable cool rooms hired specifically for the event.

Please also let us know if you are cooking with charcoal or any other smoke producing methods so we can determine the best location for your stall


Exhibitors selling food (ready-to-eat or take home)

Anyone selling food to the public from a temporary market stall, tent or marquee; or a mobile food premises such as a coffee cart, ice cream truck or food van is required under the Food Act 1984 to lodge a Statement of Trade with the relevant council.

'Food' includes:

  • anything that people eat or drink
  • live, raw, prepared or partly prepared food
  • live animals and plants
  • ingredients of a food, including additives to a food
  • drinks, including water, alcohol, milk, tea, coffee, fruit juice and soft drinks
  • chewing gum, including ingredients and additives.

All applicants will need proof of this as part of the application process. Please do not apply until you have received certification or can provide proof that you have applied.


Successful applicants will receive further details regarding festival and site operations and will also be required to complete an online induction with Queen Victoria Market.
